Invitation to the Namibia Chess Federation ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

As per the Namibian Chess Federation constitution all NCF members, chess players, parents and interested stakeholders are hereby invited to the 2015 Elective Annual General Meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on the 7th & 8th of March 2015 in Windhoek.
Venue and Time still to be Communicated.

Agenda as per constitution:

(a) Welcome, reception and scrutiny of credentials of delegates or their proxies;

(b) Approval of the minutes of the previous meetings;

(c) Matters arising from minutes;

(d) To consider and adopt the reports of the president, the secretary, the
development officer and the treasurer;

(e) To elect the executive committee for the ensuing term;

(f) Discussion of recommendations and proposals submitted by the executive
committee;

(g) Discussion of motions and proposals submitted by the delegates;

(h) To discuss and review general matters of policy;

(i) Appointment of auditors.


NB: Since its an election year it is vital to note the following:

Only registered clubs can nominate and vote for members of the NCF Executive Committee. 

A registered club may thus have more than one member present at the AGM, however only one representative from each club will be allowed to vote. 

A club is considered registered with the NCF only if it has completed the registration form and has payed the appropriate membership fees.

A registered member club that will not be present at the AGM may send a proxy to attend on its behalf.
